New This Week: Tio Ramon and Auntie D are in town! So Aurelia got to spend lots of time with her little cousin, Kaylee. We worked on being very gentle and that she can not touch her face, just her hands and feet. She did a pretty good job after repeatedly being reminded...all she wanted to do was hug and kiss little Kaylee!! I have to admit, I couldn't blame her...Kaylee is pretty sweet!
Baby #2 will soon weigh 3-5 pounds, looking more like a baby as this extra weight plumps her up. She’s been makeing some pretty big movements!

On Monday, Aurelia played outside, while Mommy made lunch...she really does a great job of entertaining herself...
We left on Tuesday for our week in Harmony...it was so much fun to watch the little girls together...I'm so looking forward to the years to come, as they grow together!


Auntie D and Mommy left for Okoboji to meet up with the girls and celebrate Tia Bria's bachelorette party!! Just a couple of pictures of Auntie D and Tia Bria on the jet skiis!


We had perfect weather and I think the girls had fun at the Lake...Thanks to the Wands!
Tio Ramon, Auntie D, and Kaylee left on Saturday for their long drive back to Ft Worth and we decided to come back to the Cities.
We had a nice little family day at the MOA on Sunday...I think Daddy is loving the fact that Aurelia can now ride more rides!!!

26 Weeks!

New This Week: Aurelia has started to try and put more than one word together...it's been so much fun listening to her expanding vocabulary and now how she's trying to piece together 2 words at a time!
Baby #2 is beginning to sleep for longer periods now, and definately awake for longer periods of time. Her eyes can now open and are beginning to blink!

Aurelia stayed over night with Grandma Bena on Sunday night and had a fun day on Monday with Grandma and Grandpa; shopping at the mall! Here she is, first thing on Monday morning at Grandma Bena's...looks like she's having Grandpa's famous French toast!
Frida and I ran errands and I think she was a bit confused (and probably relieved) when we didn't have Ari with us!
Grandma and Grandpa stayed and babysat Aurelia on Monday night, while Mommy and Daddy had a fun night out with Brennan and Ashley!
I may have introduced Aurelia to one of my favorite daytime shows...good thing it was naptime!!!
On Thursday, we had our 26 week check up...Here is Aurelia, being a big girl with her Daddy in the waiting room...
We spent Friday morning, playing outside...her favorite thing to do! She loves pretending to make food and sitting at her table and "eating" it. Then it is so much fun to watch her "wash" the dishes!!
The weather was absolutely beautiful over the weekend, so we decided to head to Lake Harriett and take some family pictures! Its so perfect that Daddy can take such great pictures!!!

August...

New This week: Its time for child-proofed door handles!!! We have an escape artist on our hands! Aurelia Vail can now open the back door and let Frida out...along with herself! So we now have to lock the door and make sure any handles like that are child-proofed...
Head to heels, Baby #2 now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an eggplant!

We started off the week with a playdate with the Lund girls at the Splash Pad.

It was a bit rainy out on Wednesday, so we stayed indoors and watched The Little Mermaid for the first time!

Yaya came over on Wednesday night and she and Ari had a fun day on Thursday, while Mommy had to work!
Friday was a play day outside...but before we headed out, Aurelia showed her new little talent of opening the door!!!


We left on Friday afternoon for Harmony to attend the Skaalen wedding...Here is Aurelia in her pretty dress, waiting to leave on Saturday...being quite the lady!!

End of July...

New This Week: Aurelia and Mommy had our first trip by ourselves! We flew to Dallas to visit the newest member of the family! And in Dallas, we had our very first visit to Chuck E Cheese!!! Ari had a blast!!
We are at 24 weeks with Baby #2! Baby's skin is becoming more opaque as the fat starts to pack on. And, thanks to the formation of small capillaries, her newly thick skin is taking on a fresh pink glow. Baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts her at just over a pound. Since she's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), she cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but her body is filling out proportionally and she'll soon start to plump up. Her brain is also growing quickly now, and her taste buds are continuing to develop.

As most of our time goes, we started out the week playing in Aurelia's playhouse!


The weather has been too perfect not to be outside everyday...
Wednesday also brings Auntie D's birthday! Happy Birthday, DD!!
We got up before the sun on Thursday, and Aurelia Vail and Mommy left for our first flight together to Dallas! I couldn't have asked for a better little traveler! We were lucky enough to have just the right amount of time at the airport to grab a little bite to eat. Then we boarded the plane and Aurelia was out! Before the plane even took off, she was asleep and we both slept until we landed! It was perfect!
Auntie D and little Kaylee picked us up from the airport...and our fun weekend started! Kaylee Claire was an absolute doll! I think Ari actually thought she was a doll!
Wuelo and Grandma Texas joined us in Dallas on Friday. I think they were in heaven; having both granddaughters in one spot! We had so much fun with them!
On Saturday the whole gang went to Chuck E Cheese. Aurelia's little face just lit up the minute we walked in the door and she was soooo excited, she just didn't know what to do! As much fun as she had, I think Wuelo and Tio Tio had more fun!






As fast as the weekend flew, it was so much fun meeting little Miss Kaylee Claire and spending time with family!

18 Months!!

New This Week: A new playhouse!!! Miss Aurelia Vail got a great little playhouse from Yaya and Papa and really LOVES playing in it!!!
Baby #2's blood vessels in her lungs are developing this week to prepare for breathing. She is now about 8-10 inches long and weighs 1-3 pounds and has already begun her main project for the rest of the pregnancy: putting on weight! She's definately now putting on a show with all the wiggling that she's doing!

We started off the week with a visit to a little petting zoo that was set up in Maple Grove...they had all kinds of baby animals, but Miss Ari loved the camel! It was so much fun to enjoy this with Yaya!
Also today, Yaya took Ari shopping to pick out her playhouse and slide!! Aurelia was sooooo excited!!!
So, naturally, on Wednesday, we spent lots of time playing outside!


We had Ari's dr's visit for her 18 month check up and vaccines. But on the way in to the dr's Ari got sick in the car and threw up. So no shots! Not sure if she planned it that way or not...poor thing. But they still met with us and Aurelia is measuring at 21.4 pounds (10th percentile) and 32.24 inches tall (69th percentile). So she is tall and light! After getting home and taking a bath, she felt much better...
She felt better enough through out the day, that we kept our dinner plans with Brennan and Ashley and they came over! It was a lot of fun!
Aurelia turned 18 months old on Friday! Here she is waiting patiently as we loaded up the truck to go to Harmony for the weekend...
We had so much fun at Grandma Bena and Grandpa's house...here she is enjoying Grandma Bena's flowers...


She loved playing with her Uncle Jonjon on the little rocket that Grandpa Steve got her...

The weather was perfect for the little pool that they got here...she had fun filling it up with Charlie and Uncle Jonjon!

And of course playing in it!

After a great weekend in Harmony, we got home to a surprise in our front yard... It was a perfect addition to her little playhouse...We have some of the best neighbors! Thanks, Rick and Lonna!
